Traditional dog training says you must be “alpha” in order to train your dog. Newer “non adversive” training says a dog should never be told no and that positive reinforcement is the way to get obedience.
We think differently. If your dog is pessimistic, it is harder for him/her to relate to you as they will assume a negative intent. Understanding this, if we can change the mindset to be an optimist, your dog trusts more easily and all else becomes easier.
